Hi folks, I just have to write a math thesis about complex numbers, and have understood the derivation of the Euler formula and also what the equation basically wants to say. However, in Wikipedia (and also in other sources), instead of the argument (iy), ‘I alpha’ is used to express the equation with angles. So you should use an angle for alpha, but e.g. in the case of identity, pi is used instead of an angle.

How do you have to use that now, with a radian measure or what? There is a formula in the appendix, it would be nice if you could tell me what the formula says and how to use it, preferably with a calculation example, then it will be clearer ^^ Thanks for the help in advance.

in physics we should derive the formula: Uh = B * v * b.

The approach is of course clear: Fel = Fl (Fel = electric field force; Fl = Lorentz force)

After that there is this formula: 1) e * E = e * v * B.

This results in: 2) Uh / b = v * B.

My question now: how do you get from Formula 1) to Formula 2) ?

Hey, I’m just going through math again, because we’re on the subject of stochastics, which I don’t really like. Actually, I understood almost everything in this area (tree diagram, four-field table, Laplace, etc.) but I just discovered a “funny” task:

I understand the principle of tree diagrams, but I believe that the pq formula must also be used here because there is still an unknown x there. However, this is not a quadratic equation, which is why I cannot use it. Does someone understand the task?
